What a day!

It started off with Yudi's orientation.
To some, it's the day the child needed to get used to a new place, new faces, etc.
To Yudi, it was the worst idea! A tease!
He had a tantrum, kicking and screaming all the way until Empire and Kingston on the way home! He didn't even want ice cream! All he wanted was "my class" and "my clue" (clue=school)
Never mind, when he first woke up, he was insistent that he WAS NOT going anywhere near a school!
We finally got home, ate and went to Manhattan. Yoel had his day off, and we were spending it all together with my mother-in-law.
First we went to the NYC Ducks. It's the amphibious vehicles, but not from the war. These are more "modern".
We never went to the one in Boston, because they were so expensive. But we went in Liverpool, UK. We enjoyed it then. But this was definitely better!
Thanks to our AAA membership, we only paid $14 each adult, and both kids were free.
Before getting on the boat, they give you these little quacker toys which definitely kept Yudi happy today.
When you get to the water, you go into this little garage/tunnel. It's really a simulator. After that ride, you come out into the water - with a big splash that makes everyone wet! The captain made sure we got a few more splashes while out on the river.
As we got off the boat, they gave out vouchers for a free ice cream in the shop right there (prob. paid advertisement). Unfortunately, it's not kosher.
After that, we went to Toys'R'Us and Yoel took the kids on the toy ferris wheel.
We went aroung the store (and a few others) for a bit, then went "just a few blocks" and then "just a few more blocks" to get something to eat.
Of course, only once we were sitting down and ready to eat, did we realize why Yudi was shivering on such a hot day. We ran out of reg. diapers, so I had put a swimming diaper on him. Well, it came right out! BH it was just pish. But his pants were sopping wet! So I ran back 5 blocks to ChildrensPlace to get him a new pair of pants.
I think we were out too long, because my mother-in-law wasn't feeling too well. So we decided to take a taxi back home. It was only $23!
Now to try and get Gitty to sleep...... lately, she won't go to sleep until I rock her for 45 minutes.
Atleast Yudi agreed to go to sleep without any fuss.
OK. Now it's bedtime for me!
Good night!
Good day, mate (down under)
